Moritex, a world leader in supplying skin counselling products to the aesthetics market, has announced that it will preview a suite of new products at the forthcoming European Congress on Anti-Ageing & Aesthetic Medicine 2008 in Dusseldorf, Germany.

At this important event - Moritex will show for the first time, on Stand 1021, the new Clarity Skin Advisor System 1000 - a high tech, low cost tool to help build client trust and renew confidence in the skin care expertise and treatments you provide. Using a proven skin analysis technique, Clarity Skin Advisor System 1000 provides skin care specialists an objective and quantifiable method for identifying the diagnostic characteristics of the skin. Integrating a facial stage, the system is able to capture digital, high-resolution full face images for recognition and extraction of particular skin condition features. The system calculates skin tone evenness measurements, UV damage and susceptibility, pore health for calculating the risk of acne, and wrinkle classification according to severity level.

Moritex has chosen the Anti-Ageing Congress to also launch the latest version of its popular handheld i-Scope. Weighing only 200g and based upon advanced CCD camera technology the i-Scope is the perfect tool for beauticians and dermatologists to visually communicate the condition of a customer’s hair, scalp or skin. Notable enhancements on the new i-Scope include a 3-fold improvement in operating resolution and clarity and a range of user-friendly enhancements to the viewer software. The new i-Scope uses the same set of interchangeable lenses as previous generation models offering magnifications ranging from 1x to 700x.

Also on display will be the recently launched Mobile Skin Analyser. Moritex, a world leader in skin counselling analysers and software to the cosmetics industry, has announced the launch of a new analyser that quickly checks the condition of skin and uncovers hidden problems.

The Mobile Skin Analyzer MSApro, is an easy-to-use tool for analysing skin condition that makes measurements of skin texture, sebum, pigmentation, keratin, elasticity and brightness and displays results including a comparison against age related averages. Developed in conjunction with True Systems Ltd., Moritex’s long term partner in Korea, the compact handheld MSApro has a touch screen for accessing the easy-to-use menu software and displaying clear images of the skin being analysed. Operation is simple and quick following visual and audio cues. The displayed information is invaluable in assisting cosmeticians with their recommendations of appropriate treatments and anti-ageing products.

The MSApro sensor head contains two sensors for measuring levels of moisture in the stratum corneum, and skin elasticity. A 50x PL lens allows skin texture and pigmentation to be observed in detail at high magnification. A special sebum tape is available to allow the scope to analyse skin sebum content. In just seconds the readings are complete. By entering the subject’s age before measurement the results are also shown relative to corresponding age group averages. All measured data can be easily exported via a USB terminal and stored on a PC.

Moritex has announced new software, for its popular Triplesense skin counselling monitor, to assist cosmeticians maximise the effectiveness of their advanced skin counselling sessions

Triplesense is an easy-to-use tool for anti-ageing skin counselling that makes simultaneous measurements of skin moisture, sebum and elasticity levels and displays results including a comparison against age related averages.

Developed in conjunction with Alpha Strumenti Srl and leading skin care specialist Yana Butler, the new easy to use software program graphically displays results as a map of the subject’s skin condition in terms of moisture, oiliness and elasticity over a number of zones. The displayed information is invaluable in assisting cosmeticians with their recommendations of appropriate treatments and anti-ageing products.

The unique Triplesense compact sensor head contains three sensors for measuring levels of moisture in the stratum corneum, sebum (oiliness) taken from the skin and elasticity. Operation is simple and quick following audible cues. There are no disposable caps or tapes and all readings are taken at the same time. In 3 seconds the readings are complete. By entering the subject’s age before measurement the results are also shown relative to corresponding age group averages. All measured data can be easily imported and stored on a PC using the optional Sensor Cradle.
